Lagoa Azul

Yes, there is paradise on Earth and it is called Blue Lagoon Circuit. The circuit includes lagoons that fill up after the rainy season, in the first months of the year, reaching their maximum water level, mainly between the months of May and September of each year, forming a unique scenario in the world.

In addition to Lagoa Azul, the itinerary includes the lagoons of Preguiça, S, Esmeralda, Paz and Toyoteiros - but not necessarily all of them on the same day, as the route is subject to weather conditions. You can go as many times as you like, it will always be a different experience.

Reserve half a day for this tour, which can only be done with visitor drivers or tour guides accredited in the City Halls of Barreirinhas, Santo Amaro and ICMBio. Leaving Barreirinhas, it is necessary to cross the Rio Preguiças by ferry and proceed in a 4x4 vehicle with a gardener to the dunes - the 12 km journey takes about 45 minutes along sand and sandbank trails. Afterwards, you have to walk through the dune field to see the lagoons.

Oh! Take the opportunity to buy snacks and water before leaving, as there is no infrastructure inside the park.

EVERY DIVE IS A FLASH

The stop time at each lagoon of the circuit varies from 30 to 40 minutes and it is possible to visit, on average, around 03 to 04 lagoons in a tour - enough time to enjoy the landscape, dive, enjoy a lot and take many photos !

The main one is the Blue Lagoon, which takes its name because it causes an optical illusion, where the color varies in shades of blue as it approaches its waters. Depending on how the rainy season is, the level can reach up to 3 meters deep.

CARDIO IN DAY!

Prepare your breath and willingness to go up and down the sand dunes - some reach 40 meters in height. But believe me: every effort is rewarded with dips in the transparent waters of the lagoons and stunning views.

If you go in the afternoon, leave the Blue Lagoon for last: it is one of the best spots to admire the sunset.
