LAGOA DO PERI

Surrounded by ancestral greenery, Lagoa do Peri is a haven of peace and connection here in the South of the Island, an area with "good vibes", without buildings and with less massive tourism.

The freshwater lagoon is formed by an endless number of springs that rise on the slopes. So important that it is a registered Natural Heritage. Here, there are centenary trees of primary forest, which is rare in the Atlantic Forest.

The largest freshwater lagoon in SC has an area of 5.2 km and supplies the south of the island. Its name comes from the plant found on its banks - thin and long.

PERFECT FOR FAMILIES

As it's inside a Park it's important to follow some rules like no barbecue - picnic, you can! There are small marked trails, good to do with children. In summer, activities such as Stand Up Paddle and the unmissable Gurita trail - look for a guide to do it.

LOVE STORY

Here on Ilha da Magia, one of the most famous legends tells that the Indian Peri and the Witch Conceição fell madly in love. A forbidden love, which was punished with a curse: the Indian was transformed into a freshwater lagoon, in the south of the island. Conceição, devastated, cried so much, so much that she burst into tears, giving rise to Lagoa da Conceição.

A legend that you can see if you arrive or leave Floripa by plane: from up there, Peri is shaped like a heart, proof that this love existed <3
