Beira Rio
RIVERSIDE
Stretch your neck and try to see the end of this avenue. These 600 meters long make up one of the most visited tourist spots in Imperatriz.
On the banks of the Tocantins River, Avenida João de Deus, known as Beira-Rio, provides open-air fun and leisure for all ages.
A right meeting point, especially on weekends, tourists and people from Imperatriz meet to taste regional cuisine while enjoying the view of the Tocantins River.
Beira Rio, had its structure created in 1994 and has already been the stage for circuses, electric trios and Brazilian music singers, as well as a parade of blocks and samba schools. There in the acoustic shell, especially on weekends, it is common to have presentations.
Enjoy walking calmly along the wide boardwalks. It will not be difficult to see the lake.
If you are a sports lover, follow the hiking trail or bike path. The rollerblading and skateboarding crew is also included. Sports courts, playground and kiosks guarantee fun for the whole family.
Did you get hungry? In addition to an outdoor food court with typical food and drinks stalls, we have bars and several restaurants. Choose between staying inside the restaurant or sitting at a table in a riverside hut. Generally, the outside temperature helps make this decision.
Enjoy without moderation the greatest Empress postcard!
