Estádio Frei Epifânio
FREI EPIFÂNIO STADIUM
What started out as a football stadium is now an arena that hosts different types of events. Whatever it is, it is difficult to leave the Frei Epifânio D'Abadia Stadium. without getting emotional.
The Stadium dates back to 1966, the year in which Brazil was the two-time world football champion. With the improvements starting in 2010, it gained press booths, a warm-up room for athletes, covered bleachers, electronic scoreboards, new restrooms and accessibility. All this means that today we are within the standards of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF)
If you ask around here, it is likely that they will say that the stadium is the Majestic of Mané Garrincha Square. The city team that plays its games in the arena is the Empress, known as the Steel Horse.
Today with capacity for 10 thousand people, the stadium is well ranked according to Sisbrace, the Brazilian Stadium Classification System of the Ministry of Sport. The evaluation is better than that of some teams that are in series B and C of the Brazilian Championship.
