SEAHORSE
Here you have an animal threatened with extinction worldwide: the seahorse. Many people embark on this tour to see the little fish up close (yes, it is a type of fish).
In Greek mythology, the seahorse, created by Poseidon, has the power to cause earthquakes in the land and sea by beating its hooves to ride in marine waters.
The seahorse lives especially in the area where the Guriú River meets the sea. There, a small lagoon forms, through which canoes pass in search of small fish.
A few years ago, there was a more heated discussion between authorities and environmentalists. For this reason, the endangered seahorse cannot be caught by hand. So, boatmen and guides catch it with basins and large glasses, then return them to the waters.

GREAT FOR PICTURES
Here in Mangue Seco, around 200 families live off tourism. Most establishments have varied menus focused on local cuisine, with crab as the main dish. The hospitality found in the region is what makes the visitor want to return to Jeri.
