Ecorrural Circuit Caminhos do Brejal

The Ecorrural Circuit "Caminhos do Brejal" is an area filled with stunning landscapes and outdoor activities located in the Brejal neighborhood, in the Posse district of Petrópolis.

The circuit aims to promote ecological and rural tourism, encouraging environmental preservation and sustainable development, which contributes to the appreciation and conservation of the region. It is a privileged destination for those who wish to explore natural wonders, enjoy the tranquility of rural life, and go hiking.

Considered by many tourists and vacationers as a small rural paradise, it stands out for its flower fields, aromatic herbs, vegetables, and legumes. It is the largest hub of organic agriculture in the state of Rio de Janeiro, playing a decisive role in Petrópolis being designated as the State Capital of Organic Products.

There's also the opportunity to witness the artisanal production of organic preserves and jams and visit an agroecological snail breeding farm.

The itinerary may also include a tour of the stud farm with a panoramic visit to the stables and a stroll through an extensive green area, a craft workshop bringing together local community embroiderers, a ceramic production workshop, an artisanal kitchen offering natural dog treats, the Chapel of Our Lady of Glory, as well as a place for swimming in a natural water pool.
