RIBEIRÃO WATERFALL

You have arrived at one of the most sought after waterfalls by residents of Riachão. It is not the biggest nor does it have the clearest water. It's not even inside Chapada das Mesas National Park. But it has an advantage: location.It is just 7 km from the center of Riachão, which makes it easy to get in and out. To access this particular area it is necessary to follow a small trail of less than 200 meters, which is very easy.

The waterfall is not very high, - it is about 2 meters - but the access is quiet and you can relax with the massage that the water does on your shoulders and back. The water temperature is excellent: on average 22oC, just to refresh.

As the infrastructure is still under development (restaurants, swimming pools, etc) it is a place to spend a shorter period. If you've brought your supplies, remember to bring your waste with you when you leave.

Cachoeira Ribeirão is open from 8 am to 5 pm and there is an entrance fee: R$ 10 per person.

HOLE OF ARARAS

Another attraction near here is the Buraco das Araras, close to the edge of Chapada das Mesas National Park. It is a wall full of macaws, including blue ones. Especially at the end of the day, it is perfect for bird watching. Visitors passionate about bird watching don't usually miss this one!
