You have just arrived at one of the six wonders of the state of Maranhão: the Poço Azul complex bears this name because of two wells of transparent water. But here are many options for you to unwind and relax in the midst of exuberant nature! Here, there is an incredible wealth of animals and plants.

WALKWAYS OVER THE WATERS

Here you will literally walk over the woods and over the water. The wooden walkways that lead most of the paths give a mixture of emotion and preservation. After all, nature is our most precious asset.

When you find a beautiful waterfall, you will be enchanted by the canyons, and then the wells. Blue is the most disputed because of the color of the water. Yes, you can dive and the temperature is pleasant. The depth at some points reaches 4 meters. It's the place to relax, even though it's usually full.

WATERFALL OF 76 METERS

The Complex has five waterfalls: dos Namorados, do Seu Zica, Dona Luíza, do Moreno and the most famous, Santa Bárbara, which is an incredible 76 meters. The photos you are going to take are unable to match the magnitude and feeling that comes with the splash and the rock wall.

A native's tip: further up there is the Valentine's waterfall, great for a bath but less crowded because the scenery is considered "less amazing".

Want more adrenaline? There is abseiling and the zip line rips through the Cerrado forests and crosses Morro das Pedras. It also has trails for different levels of adventurers.
