These GIs are recognitions of quality and origin that highlight the excellence of local products. And it doesn't stop there, we are in the process of certifying a fifth GI, the São Joaquim Frescal. Here, you will have the opportunity to savor the best of the region's gastronomy and artisanal production.

But São Joaquim goes beyond its GIs. Its history dates back to 1750 when the São Paulo rancher Manoel Joaquim Pinto established the connection between Lages and Laguna, driving the city's development. Every street, every building tells a part of this story of perseverance and entrepreneurship.

Furthermore, São Joaquim is blessed with lush nature. Its privileged location, at 1,354 meters above sea level, provides a unique climate, classified as oceanic or maritime temperate.
