Morro do Campestre
Welcome to Morro do Campestre, one of the points in Urubici that brings together what visitors are most looking for.
Nature reigns supreme with sandstone formations (sedimentary rocks) formed millions of years ago.
From a distance, the formation resembles a door and a window - in this case, sculpted by the wind. Due to the scenic beauty, you may have to wait a while to make the perfect shot.

HIGH AND FROSTY
From the top of 1,380 meters, you can see the mountains in the surroundings and the Canoas River, winding, passing through the valley that has the same name. In this video with drone images you can see Morro do Campestre in a unique look!
As of 2019, the structure has improved a lot around here. Before, it took a lot of breath to get to the top because only a few vehicles could.
There's more: at Paradouro, you can even order a picnic basket for a couple or family - but you need to book at least one day in advance.

STORY
Despite being formed thousands of years ago, Morro do Campestre has not been a tourist's darling for many years. For almost half a decade, the area has belonged to the same family, but was little used for this purpose. Around here, the objective was cattle raising and agriculture.
There was even an iron cross in the middle of the "pierced stone", placed by Mr. Arlindo Oderdenge - owner of the area at the time. That's why the place was called Morro da Cruz. That cross would have been stolen and the name fell into oblivion.
Now, what you can't forget is the sunset from up there, when all the colors meet and transform into the horizon.
